Cornwall 365 at Royal Cornwall Show 2017!
Building on the success of last year, the Cornwall 365 team packed up our bags for another stint at the Royal Cornwall Show… and what a show it was. Here are some of our best bits!
We were thrilled to have a Royal visit from His Royal Highness The Earl of Wessex. Upon entering our tent he exclaimed, “This is the fun area then!”
We think this summed up the Cornwall 365 tent perfectly!
Holly Burns had a never-ending queue for her face painting.
Her intricate patterns and clever designs were a hit with the Royal Cornwall Crowds… and the Cornwall 365 team!
SFX and Make Up Artist Emily Virtue created some seriously gruesome injuries…

*Not a real injury! One of Emily’s gory works of art.
Jack Morrison and Jess Polglase from FEAST created this map of Cornwall with markers for every FEAST supported project…
Set and costume designer Fiona Chivers showed us how to create beautiful paper flowers to adorn headpieces and button-holes.
Kim Conchie, Chief Executive of Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, proudly wore his floral creation to the Royal Cornwall Show Presidential lunch!
Visual artist Lizzie Black from Tough Dough led a fantastic stop animation activity, with children creating hand-made pieces to use for the film.
The Royal Cornwall Show film is being edited as we speak. Keep an eye out!
We showcased some of Cornwall’s tastiest treats with free samples…
Royal Cornwall Show has over 1000 trade stands selling everything from cream to quad bikes – but we picked some of the tastiest Cornish treats for the public to sample from the Food & Farming Pavilion. We had soft and delicious focaccia from Baker Tom, rich chocolate brownies from The Brownie Baker, creamy yarg cheese from Lynher Dairies, and succulent strawberries from Boddington’s Berries topped with Trewithen Dairy clotted cream!

We wanted to talk to people about Culture, Creativity and Heritage…
And created an exhibition of boards with A-Side Studio. We asked everyone to fill in a short survey in response, with a chance to win a family ticket to next years show.
We also had friends joining us from Cornish language campaign #ProudToBeCornish, Miracle Theatre, WildWorks, Tate St Ives and Cornwall Museums Partnership!
Yiota Liopetriti from Cornwall Museums Partnership was spreading the word about Cornwall’s many varied and wonderful museums.
We had a brilliant three days at Royal Cornwall Show. Thank you to everyone who came to visit us!
Next year’s show is on 7th, 8th & 9th June 2018. We may see you then!
