This striking poster was designed by Falmouth University graduate. Sponsored by the Great Western Railway, the poster was created on behalf of the Falmouth Spring Flower Show and will be displayed at fifteen stations across Cornwall.
The poster celebrates the historic partnership between the Great Western Railway, Cornwall’s world famous daffodils and the county’s spring flower shows.
Benedict Flanagan, 23, came up with the design after being inspired by the old Cornish Riviera posters use of colour.
He said: “Those old posters are beautiful. When it came to designing my poster it struck me that as the engine section of the stream train is long and green, like a flower stem, the yellow daffodils being carried behind could resemble a daffodil traveling through the countryside.”
He chose the train on his favourite section of the train journey to Cornwall. “I just love the line when it runs by the Red Dawlish cliffs and sea.”
