TERRY FROST & CONTEMPORARIES – A visual art tour in Penzance
The Exchange with Penlee House Gallery & Museum
21st October 2015 4pm – 6:30pm
An invitation to join us for a private viewing & guided tour of the Terry Frost exhibition at The Exchange, followed by a glass of prosecco and private tour of The Bigger Picture at Penlee House Gallery & Museum.
This Winter, Tate St.Ives will close its doors for a very exciting redevelopment, but that’s not to mean there isn’t some fantastic work to see. The Terry Frost exhibition, will be curated by Tate St Ives but shown at the Newlyn Art Gallery and The Exchange.
In partnership with the Newlyn Art Gallery & The Exchange, Tate St Ives, and Penlee House Gallery & Museum we invite you to an evening of private viewings celebrating Terry Frost and notable others. The Frost exhibition features significant bold and bright works by the artist and celebrates the centenary of his work, breathing new life into his six decades of practice.
Following our exclusive tour we will then walk over to Penlee House Gallery & Museum where we will be offered a glass of prosecco and enjoy another private tour of their new exhibition The Bigger Picture featuring a collection of paintings ranging from 1920 to the 1960s – many of the artists being Frost’s friends and contemporaries.
Hanging alongside the better-known names of Patrick Heron, Ben Nicholson, Wilhelmina Barns-Graham, Alfred Wallis and John Wells is a plethora of remarkable and innovative work by artists from the same period.
We hope you can join us for this rare opportunity to enjoy this stunning and internationally renowned collection of work.
If you are unable to make this particular evening please visit these websites for further details about both exhibitions:
