Cornwall 365's summer recommendations
The Summer holidays are upon us and there is a wealth of stuff to do with the family – and a few of these ideas are dog friendly too. We have selected a few of our favourites but this is by no means ALL of our favourites. Join The Rogues in the woods, take a ferry ride to watch Miracle Theatre, hunt out the Kneehigh’s Asylum in The Lost Gardens of Heligan – so much to find:
- Rogue Theatre’s double bill in Tehidy Woods:
- The Magnificent Three by Miracle Theatre in a range of outdoor spaces including Penlee Park, Tregrehan Gardens, Roskilly Farm, St Mawes Castle, Pengenna Manor etc. There will be a show close to you. You could even take the Showboat ferry from St Mawes or Falmouth to Trelissisck Gardens to watch it

- Mineral Tramways – A free day out on your bikes, enjoying in the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site – don’t forget to pack a picnic or enjoy one of the cafes you’ll find along the trails.
- Wheal Martyn – the China Clay museum with nature trails, a war horse exhibition, adventure park, giant machinery and lots more
- Restless Temple at the Tremenheere Sculpture Gardens You can’t miss the temple as it sways to the dance of the wind, with stunning views across St Michael’s Mount and the bay. The gardens contain other sculptural delights as well as large-scale exotic and sub-tropical planting.
- The Telegraph Museum in Porthcurno – set next to one of the most beautiful beaches in Cornwall, this fascinating museum explores the history of communication and shows how messages from and to the rest of the world, flooded through the cable station for 100 years – The Victorian Silicon Valley
