Cornwall 365’s February Half-Term Top Picks

We’re getting down & busy with museums this half term. There is so much going on, with lots of activities to entertain the children in spaces that will interest the adults too. Did you know we have over 70 museums in Cornwall? We can’t list everything, there is much more to do including non-museum activities. To help plan your week, we have broken the list below into daily suggestions covering Cornwall.

Saturday 13^th February

Starstruck Supersized Extravaganza at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, craft a tissue paper rose that will last forever.

Swamp Circus Curiosity Shop at Temperance Hall Penryn

If you head to Penryn, you’ll find a whole host of treasures in Swamp Circus’ The Curiosity Shop. This spectacular show is huge colourful fun for all the family with “have a go” workshops, alongside aerial and stilts performers to amaze the child in everyone.

Experience a Sparkling Valentine’s Day at Geevor Tin Mine

An abundance of different mineral activities for all ages. Create your own paper crystal with a message for your loved one, touch and examine some precious minerals and gems, dig for gems or become a rock star playing the mineral identification game.

Butterfly and Bug Making at Wheal Martyn

This February half term head to Wheal Martyn and enjoy toilet roll butterfly and bug making. Collect items whilst going around the site or give them googly eyes and fluffy wings to make your very own creations.
